What To See...

Strip

This huge 7 kilometer boulevard is the main attraction of Las Vegas, along with the city’s most famous casino hotels and restaurants. As long as we try to describe you in words or photos, it is really impossible… Strip is a must see if you find yourself here.

Fremont Street

The second most popular street in Las Vegas is Fremont Street! Fremont Street is a parallel street to Strip and is actually located at the end of Las Vegas center. In fact, Fremont is a giant entertainment center where you will find casinos, various gambling venues, and perhaps the largest video wall in the world, which is the roof of this enormous entertainment center.

Titanic Exhibition

Those who are lovers of the homonymous film, they will find the largest exhibition, where authentic objects have been drawn from the depths of the Atlantic from inside the ship! The exhibition visited from over 25 million people annually and is one of the largest in history.
Over 250 original items recovered from the sinking of Titanic, as well as faithful copies of the most famous rooms of the ship, as the central staircase and the deck, where you can even feel the cold sea air, make it a thrilling experience ideal for all ages that you should not miss. The exhibition is located in the impressive Luxor casino hotel and the entrance costs 32 USD per person. The opening hours are from 10:00-22:00.

The Best Casinos Of The City

In Las Vegas you will find many casino’s, most of which are hotels, but some of them are really impressive and worth your attention. We will recommend you the best casinos of the city that impressed us. We start with the most famous casino in Las Vegas, which is no other than Bellagio! Inspired by Lake Como in Italy, Bellagio is famous for its elegance and its 8 acre lake between the building where its famous fountains dancing in perfect harmony with music. A great experience that you should not miss!

Another amazing casino is the famous Ceasar’s Palace! Caesar’s Palace features 3,976 rooms and suites in six towers and a conference room of 28,000 m². The hotel has a wide variety of restaurants, among which there are many that serving authentic Chinese cuisine for the East Asian wealthy customers. The hotel also operates as a concert venue and has hosted some of the biggest names in the world music scene such as Frank Sinatra, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Elton John, Diana Ross, Lisa Mineli, Julio Iglesias, Gloria Estefan, Mariah Carey and many others .

The Venetian casino is another incredible casino which is a copy of Venice, with real canals and gondolas inside and out of the hotel!
The Venetian resort and The Palazzo Hotel is the second largest hotel in the world with 4,049 rooms, 3,068 suites with prices ranging from 169 $ to 10,000 $ per night!

Luxor casino is the sixth largest hotel in Las Vegas and the ninth largest in the world. With an impressive entrance that remind us ancient Egypt and is one of the most beautiful casinos in the city and it is definitely one of the best casinos that you must see. Inside Luxor is also the stunning Titanic exhibition that mentioned above.

The Stratosphere casino is the tallest building in Las Vegas with a height of 350 meters, and from the top you can admire incredible views of the city, as well as bunjee jumping from the top of the tower if you are courageous. Although we stayed at this hotel, we did not manage to overcome our fear unfortunately …

Nearby Excursions

A not so short trip, as it lasts from 10 to 12 hours, but is one of the few opportunities to see one of the most shocking landscapes that you can see on this planet is the unique Grand Canyon! Sometimes words and photos are not capable to describe the feelings and the awe you feel once you see it.

A sign at some point in Grand Canyon, we think it fully reflects what we felt once we were there. “One minute, do not read, do not talk, do not take pictures, just look and see”. Try to realize what you see with your eyes and how small we are in front of the greatness of nature!

From the center of Las Vegas you can book an excursion with various companies that organize one day trips to Grand Canyon, but we will recommend the Gray line company that we were absolutely happy with. There are many different excursions and maybe you are confused so we will try to explain to you exactly what are the main differences. The most popular excursions to see are Grand Canyon is South rim, Grand Canyon West rim and Grand Canyon West rim including skywalk, an impressive platform made of glass, that literally hangs over the canyon!

Our suggestion is to choose the first excursion, that is the Grand Canyon South rim, which is the south side of Grand Canyon and in our opinion is the most beautiful and the cheaper also. This tremendous 12 hour experience costs from  80-100 $ per person including a small snack during the day but also several stops at some of Arizona’s famous attractions such as the Hoover Dam and Seligman Village in the middle of the desert on the famous Route 66.

What To Eat

If you like the good food and it is a key part of your trip then United States and Las Vegas specifically are the right place! Here you will find restaurants and cuisines from all over the world and some of the world’s most famous chefs.

The options for good food here are really unlimited and it’s almost impossible to try everything within a few days. We will suggest two relatively affordable restaurants that impressed us and left us completely satisfied. The first is the well known Cheesecake Factory and is located in the amazing casino Ceasars Palace. It serves perhaps the best cheesecake in the world! There is a cheesecake paradise here for those who love cheesecakes like we do. Try as many as you can because it everything is simple perfect! The food here is also awesome with all the dishes we tried to be truly incredible in the style of a classic American restaurant like Friday’s or Hard Rock Cafe but with much more choices and superior quality.

Our next suggestion is the unbelievable Heart Attack Grill! Easily it is among the 3 best burgers we’ve eaten all over the world. The Heart Attack Grill is known to serve one of the most unhealthy burgers in the world, and that’s where the name comes from. With slogans such as “Come at your own risk”, attracts customers along with the very nice burgers it serves. We tried the famous 10,000 calorie burger and fortunately we survived! Be careful, because if you order it and do not eat all of your food then the waiters will beat you with no mercy in front of others! Believe us they hitting very hard!

How to move

Las Vegas is a very big city and you will need several days to see the main attractions. The good thing is that all the interesting things in the city are along the Strip and so you will not have much difficulty finding them if you walk or use the the bus for example. As we said above, Strip is a 7 kilometer road and it will be quite difficult to cross it every day on foot from the beginning ang get back.

A good and relatively cheap solution is the bus, that stops very often and in almost every big casino in the city, so you will save enough time and fatigue from walking. The 24 hour bus ticket costs 8 $ per person and 20 $ for 3 days, so we would say it’s the best option to see Las Vegas. McCarran Airport of Las Vegas is just 6 km from the city center (about 10 minutes by taxi) and is easily accessible.

Where to stay

Accommodation in Las Vegas is incredibly cheap, especially if you think that you will stay in some of the world’s most luxurious casino hotels! It sounds very strange that Las Vegas is a cheap destination compared to other cities in United States such as New York, where is extremely expensive but the explanation is very simple. Most people who come to Las Vegas they are not facing financial problems of course, they come here to gamble or to party very hard so the cost of a hotel is nothing compared to the money they spend throughout the day and night.

If you are smart enough and leave others to gamble then Las Vegas is a really cheap destination, since an excellent double room on Strip in a does not cost more than 30 40 $ per night! There are of course exceptions like Belaggio, which is considered to be on of the most expensive in the city and the prices are really high. Our suggestion is to stay somewhere in the middle of Strip so you would be at the heart of city. Do your research and decide which one of the luxurious casinos is for you. Make your reservation via Booking.com
